How do I sign up?

You’ll need to create an account. This won’t be your existing AUSA or university accounts – you’ll need to make a new profile. Please use your full name and university email when signing up to help us ensure we note which students have completed the training correctly.

 

How does it work?

You’ll use the Skills Hub for your committee training. To help you know which course to take, we’ve organised our courses into categories for you. If you’re on an executive committee (President, Secretary, Treasurer) for any AUSA affiliated society, sports club or student group you can find our recommended courses below and in our ‘course categories’ which can be found on the All Courses page.

How do I select courses?

Once logged in, you’ll be able to sign up to the courses via the All Courses page. Click on the course you want and click ‘Take This Course’. You’ll be able to revisit these via your Profile at any time.

How do I know I’ve completed the course?

Each course has a simple quiz at the end with 3-4 questions which you’ll need to answer correctly in order to pass the module. This helps us ensure that students are taking in the information within the training material. When you head back to your profile, it should show under your completed courses.

I didn’t pass the test at the end of the module – how do I retake it?

All tests can be retaken. To do so, you’ll have to leave the results screen, go back to the ‘All Courses’ page and click ‘Take This Course’ again. You don’t need to go through all of the lessons again, just head straight to the test which will now be available again. If you have issues with us, get in touch at societies@abdn.ac.uk.

I’ve signed up to the Enhanced Transcript scheme – will I need to complete certain courses?

Yes – if you’re applying for our AUSA Enhanced Transcript Scheme, you’ll need to complete the courses relevant to your position. Have a look under our course categories and pick the relevant Executive Committee Role (President, Secretary, Treasurer).

If you’re applying for Enhanced Transcript for a non-executive committee position, please get in touch with the Activities Development Coordinator who will be able to advise further.

I have a query that wasn’t answered by the training materials/I need clarification on something – what do I do?
